Tulip Shape Aroma & Sipping Cup Set

An elegant, pale green, tulip-shaped porcelain aroma cup & sipping cup set for use in Gong Fu Tea preparation. Each cup holds approximately 45 ml when filled to the rim and is surprisingly sturdy given the delicacy of design.

The shape of the aroma cup borrows from the functional aesthetic of the typical tulip shaped red wine glasses commonly used for Bordeaux/Merlot/Cabernet.  The tall, narrow tulip shape provides a large amount of surface area for the aromatic tea compounds to adhere to, and the narrow opening concentrates the fragrance of the tea into a smaller area. Amazingly, the aroma of the tea really does become much more apparent in this style of aroma cup.

Each order consists of one sipping cup and one aroma cup. These cups are sold as a set only.
