Lotus Lamp - Blooming Tea

These unique and beautiful tea creations are comprised of Globe Amaranth Flower, Jasmine Flowers, Lily Flowers and Fujian White Tea Buds.

Each bulb is hand sewn in Fujian Province and is designed to gradually open into these beautiful displays when steeped.  Please note that these are hand made, and each one will be slightly different or "bloom" in slightly different ways.

The flavor profile of "Lotus Lamp" is light, mild, and floral.  The predominant flavor is jasmine, but it does not overpower the subtle sweetness of the white tea.  It makes a quite soothing, refreshing, and pleasant infusion.

Steeping Directions:
These teas are ideally steeped in a 2-4 cup glass teapot or a large red wine (Burgundy, Cabernet, etc.) style glass with one bloom per glass.  Add 160-180 degree F water to the steeping vessel, add the bulb and watch it bloom.  Note: Cooler water (160 F) = longer the blooming time. Warmer the water (180 F) = shorter blooming time.  We recommend using a steeping temperature of approx 170 F.  Each bloom can be re-infused up to three times.

Important Note: Be sure your glass steeping vessels (teapot, wine glasses, etc) are made of heat tempered or heat resistant glass to avoid potential glass breakage and risk of injury from broken glass.
