Description Additional Information Steeping Guideline
The leaves of this dark oxidized oolong tea have been rolled into a ball-shape, similar to the famous green-style oolong teas of the Ali Shan region. When steeped, this tea produces a beautifully clear, reddish-amber infusion with a sweet aroma. There is a familiar, distinct flavor and sweetness unique to the Qing Xin tea cultivar used to produce this tea that comes through clearly in the cup along with some sweet spices (cinnamon perhaps?) and maybe just a touch of dried flowers. The infusion is full-bodied, well rounded in the mouth, and the aftertaste is remarkably sweet & spicy.

arya ruby darj meets tieguanyin! November 15, 2014

If you have ever been fortunate enough to sip an Arya Ruby darjeeing, you will instantly recognize similar notes. Combine those with a light fruity high mountain taiwan oolong, and you have this great tea. A must have in your tea stash!

Really like this tea... November 15, 2014
Reviewer: Matthew G.
I wasn't sure what to expect when ordering this tea, but being a big fan of Taiwanese high mountain oolongs in general, I thought I'd give it a go. The description on the site is quite accurate - it's sweet, with a warm spiciness reminiscent of cinnamon while still retaining some of the floral notes characteristic of an Ali Shan. As fall has arrived, I find myself turning to the warmth of this tea more and more over its more lightly oxidized brethren. Would definitely recommend.
