'Mu Ye Chun' is a brand name from the Mengku Shuangjiang Tea Factory that was launched in 2007, and this is one of the Spring 08 releases from their branch factory in Yong De County in Lincang. Yong De is the most remote area of Lincang prefecture, which borders Myanmar (Burma). A huge portion of all the wild arbor tea produced in Yunnan province comes from this area. These 'wild arbor' tea trees were most likely started by people many years ago by taking cuttings from the desirable truly wild tea trees, but have been allowed to grow for sometimes hundreds of years without interference from people with the exception of plucking.
Appropriately, the Mengku factory tea masters chose a large percentage of spring harvest wild arbor tea from the Yong De area for this production. Mengku Shuangjiang Tea Factory is most widely known for their products made from Mengku area teas, so this release is a definite departure from the norm for them.
